Growth and change are essential to driving us forward. If you were never a fan of change, then 2020 forced you to accept it. Whether it be personally, professionally, or in our industry, we all had to adapt. We learned new ways of doing things, and now we’re even better because of it.

What started in 2012 as a company to help with door-to-door pest control sales, PestRoutes has been at the forefront of innovation by providing an exceptional Cloud-based software experience to pest control businesses across the nation. In 2018, we took another step and strategically partnered with our sister company, Lobster Marketing, to provide a fully integrated end-to-end marketing solution to help our customers continue to grow. Today, we’re excited to share that PestRoutes and Lobster Marketing will now be known as one company, FieldRoutes. This transformation is happening purposefully to support our commitment to helping our customers exceed their goals and grow their business.

As two brands and sister companies, PestRoutes and Lobster Marketing shared like-minded values. As you’ve noticed, our name, website, and logo have changed, but our purpose, mission, vision, and values remain the same. We will continue to provide the same high-level customer service that you have always experienced.

Over the last several months, we’ve worked hard to create a new image that accurately depicts who we are. Our new logo is a stylized leaf—a symbol of growth. It’s comprised of simple shapes, yet it visually communicates our unique brand elements. The upward-pointing arrow represents potential and growth. The navigation symbol represents direction. Lastly, the bracket shapes represent the platform that powers our brand.

Although initially built for pest control, thanks to our valued customers, we’ve seen great success and rapid growth over the past couple of years in a variety of field service industries such as residential lawn care. Lobster Marketing’s customers providing lawn care services have reported year-over-year returns on their marketing investment ranging from two-and-a-half to 11 times. FieldRoutes anticipates continued high growth for its customers thanks to the newly launched functionality built-to-suite lawn care.

This functionality was built to fulfill a need in the market. We worked directly with our existing lawn care customers as well as those who actively sought out PestRoutes to solve their unique software needs after years of dissatisfaction with other lawn care software solutions on the market. The fact is, businesses of all sizes have a choice when it comes to their software, whether it be pest, pool, or lawn, and yet they continue to choose us for our innovation and unparalleled customer service.

Throughout the years, our close ties, trust, and recommendations from our customers have enabled us to develop purposefully built software that enables field service companies to grow faster and efficiently while providing superior value and service to their customers. You no longer need to sign up with multiple companies to expand your business. Our software is all-encompassing, with everything built into one platform, no matter how many types of field services you offer. This means when new capabilities are built, all field service industries, such as pest, lawn, pool, and others, using the platform can take advantage immediately. It’s a solution that provides more efficiencies, flexibility and better serves you by offering more features.

As one company, FieldRoutes remains passionate about helping you exceed your goals and grow. Examples of some recent capabilities that benefit all industries include:

FieldRoutes Payments

Businesses in all industries are always on the lookout for ways to save time and money. Our fully integrated payments solution enables field service businesses to focus on driving down costs and eliminating manual processes by providing complete end-to-end software capabilities for managing your payments. With benefits such as transparent processing rates, easy online signup, and onboarding that takes less than an hour, you can start taking payments almost immediately. We’re compliant with the Payment Card Industry (PCI), and our live, U.S.-based customer service team can assist with any questions.

Account Updater

Keeping up with your customers’ most up-to-date payment information can be complex and time-consuming. Often, credit and debit cards get lost, stolen, or expire, leading to missed payments or high rates of authorization declines. The FieldRoutes Payments Account Updater feature addresses these challenges when payment credentials change by automatically updating credential-on-file information for merchants. Payments keep flowing without interruption and reduce the need to contact cardholders to obtain updated information.

QuickBooks® Integration

Business accounting has its challenges. Being that QuickBooks® is one of the most popular accounting software options used by our customer base today, we’re excited to announce that FieldRoutes is now fully integrated with the QuickBooks® Online product. It’s intuitive, Cloud-based, and you can run reports easily.

Consolidated Invoicing

Certain commercial and government customers require a single master invoice for payment of all individual services rendered during a specific period, often monthly. The Consolidated Invoices feature allows multiple individual invoices—for example, services for several post office locations or multiple Taco Bell franchises owned by a single-payer—to be grouped together and processed under a single Consolidated Invoice number. This new invoice type allows the payer to process payments for all these services together as their workflows may require.

Service Plans

Benefitting both the lawn and pest industries, on November 1, 2021, our software will include service plan functionality. This allows customers to bundle multiple services into discounted programs. Lawn care businesses can build a year-long program containing a set of multiple services and price, sell, or discount them together; while pest companies can offer three services together for a discounted price.

Dynamic Pricing

Dynamic Pricing provides more flexibility in how pricing is calculated for your customers. Many home services are priced by square or linear feet. This automated pricing calculation can be set up at the Service Type level or when your pricing Add-ons such as termite or special lawn treatments. Invoices and service notifications will show the property size related to the service provided.

Routing by Tech Skills

When you need the right technician, with the right skill set, at the right location, we’ve got you covered. For services that require additional training, experience, or a license (such as termite inspections), our new Routing by Tech Skills feature lets you assign these special qualifications to your technicians. In conjunction with our Intelligent Routing tools, you are able to use this as an additional factor when you’re building your routes and assigning appointments for these types of services. If no technician is available, the appointment will be flagged. The scheduler can then decide to move the appointment to a different day, route, or technician or allow the service to remain with the original technician without that particular skill.

Routes by Chemical Capacity

Another new feature is our Routes by Chemical Capacity. When creating routes that include square feet (SF) or linear feet (LF) measurements, you can set a Capacity per Route based on the vehicle’s chemical capacity. This ensures that the route is optimized not just for stops and time but for the amount of chemicals that can be carried by each vehicle.

Additional enhancements include Same Side of Street routing to keep hoses from crossing busy streets, Routing for HazMat Trucks to avoid roads where hazardous materials are not allowed, and Routing for Commercial/Heavy Trucks to exclude bridges with weight limits and/or roads that exclude commercial drivers.

We haven’t let our foot off the gas when it comes to pest control, and we continue to work hard to make improvements every day, but for customers who only know us as a pest control software provider, we encourage you to learn more about all of our new features and enhancements. Our field service software solutions were built with all of our customers in mind to help them simplify, scale, and grow their business, saving them time and money.

It’s been quite the ride for both PestRoutes and Lobster Marketing. All of us at FieldRoutes are appreciative and thankful for your continued support. We are excited for you to take a look at our new website and all the changes we have made for the better. We are enthusiastic about this new journey, and we hope you are too.
