According to the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), termites damage 600,000 homes each year causing an estimated $5 billion in property damage in the United States.
Additionally, homeowners will spend between $1-2 billion on prevention every year. And, termites aren’t planning on going away anytime soon. According to Stratistics MRC, North America is projected to be the largest market, due to increased growth in the residential market.
For those selling termite prevention services, this could mean big business. As reported in the Sentricon® Higher Standard, “The concept of selling termite control to customers who don’t have – who don’t want – termites has grown the market, giving the CSS (Certified Sentricon Specialists™) access to a bigger pool of potential customers,” said Dave Maurer, Pest Management Marketing Leader for Dow AgroSciences.
For some, PMP’s have found success when they’ve combined termite with their general pest services. Although he was initially skeptical of the idea at first, Tony Santangelo, co-owner of Innovative Pest Control, saw a “ … 94% retention rate for termite baiting system customers, he realized ‘growth and revenue was going to be exponential’ even if he charged a lower monthly fee.”
Clearly, PestRoutes understands the importance of termite inspections along with regular treatments for prevention and maintenance. We’ve integrated our software with the Sentricon® system so you can track the installation, service, inspection and renewal of sites the system protects, as well as monthly reporting to Corteva Agriscience. Our software provides a streamlined process and reporting that allows you multiple ways to manage termite inspections, warranties and renewals.
Due to the complexity of renewals and the requirements that have to be met, we’ve enhanced the process by creating more options and flexibility that allows our clients to more effectively manage their renewal process. It streamlines their workflow, reduces errors, and allows them to easily manage and grow this aspect of their business.
California Branch 3
If you’re doing business in California, then you already know that you must comply with strict regulations for wood-destroying organisms (WDO) inspections and reporting. PestRoutes® software has simplified the process for pest control operators by integrating a workflow specifically designed for California Branch 3 Structural Pest Control – the practice relating to the control of wood-destroying pests or organisms by the use of insecticides or structural repairs and corrections, excluding fumigation with poisonous or lethal gases.
With Branch 2 and Branch 3 supported in one platform, PestRoutes software enables you to build and manage your WDO CA inspections report, work authorization and other California Structural Pest Board required reporting and documentation with a simplified process.
Additionally, if you’re operating in states that use NPMA’s Standard National Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) Report form NPMA-33, PestRoutes also provides this free to technicians in a paperless, pre-built form to fill out in the field.
