- About Amanda Ragar -
Amanda Ragar, an entrepreneur and leader in the lawn and pest control industries, is the co-owner and operator of Natural State Pest Control in Northwest Arkansas, an entity considered a model for how to win against larger, national-level, pest control businesses. The organization enjoyed 2020 revenues of $2.8 million, after only four years in business, and is currently working to reach a 2021 target of $3.2 million.
Ragar began her 15-year career in 2005 when she and husband Trent started a Scotts Lawn Service franchise followed by a Christmas lighting franchise in the greater Fayetteville area of Arkansas. Ragar spent the next 10 years leveraging her finance and marketing degree from the University of Arkansas to develop both businesses ultimately reaching combined revenues of more than $4 million a year. 11 years of consecutive growth later, the lawn care franchise was sold to TruGreen.
Ragar and her husband opened Natural State Pest Control the next day and, 12 short months later, the newly minted venture was recognized as Best of the Best of Northwest Arkansas in pest control. Ragar and team have continued to earn yearly awards including a 2019 Rising Star designation from Pest Control Technology.
